Blue Machine

This photo I took is of a detail of a piece based on the Dylan Thomas poem called 'Do Not Go Gentle' and shares the same title. This is an antique clock gear sewn to the multi media painting and photographed with a macro lens. By changing the lighting on the piece, I was able to capture this brilliant blue and even the delicate brown of the thread holding this element in place.
