Crypt Guardian

Highgate Cemetary, London 2007. This Lion head was staring out from a crypt door. All of the patina was glowing in the perfectly diffuse, grey, London light. It is one of the few pieces I thought was appropriate in a perfectly square shape. It makes a stronger statement in a larger size, like 16 x 16 inches.
