Raven Calling

This was created in 2008 from a photo that I took of one of the Ravens at the Tower of London. I carefully sculpted each feather and underfeather to show the complex patterning in a Raven's feathers. Then this figure is died deep blue and painted over in black to pick up subtle color changes. The last step is to burnish the feathers with a dark silvery gray the replicate skylight reflecting off of the shiny surface.
